Joss Whedon to direct nine episodes of Glee

Well, I might be a bit behind the news, but I am definitely excited about this!

Let’s face it, Glee isn’t quite perfect (as much as I wish it was). Since it’s inception it’s received mixed reviews, and I can’t help but agree with opinions from both sides.

Glee was still wavering in the first half of season one I think, and I reckon Joss Whedon could ride in on his musical-horse and do something about that.

Joss Whedon rocks.

I like Joss Whedon’s writing and directing, as do many. His ability is proven, and I think he has a knack for creating real drama and emotion that audiences connect with, always encapsulated and/or intertwined within that clever subtle humour (eg. Buffy, Firefly).

(How could we forget that totally awesome musical episode of Buffy: Once More With Feeling?)

From the look of the most recent episodes, and what I’ve heard about the second-half of season one of Glee, it’s looking to mature.

And now, we’ve got Joss too.

Glee first-season climax!

Glee favourite: Jordin Sparks/Chris Brown - No Air (season 1, episode 7 “Throwdown”).
